Our Mission
Be a positive witness in our community, and in the world, through our words and deeds by demonstrating the teachings and life of Christ in our daily lives and reflecting joy that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Tasks
- Guest Book- follow-up that guests have been contacted
- Visitor Cards- replenishing in pews and minister follow-up
- List of members who have not attended for some time- contacting these people
- Prayer Cards – replenishing in pews. Cards are prayed on during service and afterwards
- Outreach to Nursing Homes
- Evangelism training and awareness for congregation- classes with books and videos ( “Contagious Christians”)
- Spreading the gospel through our daily encounters, and giving invitations to attend our church. Passing out business cards for our minister with all the church contact information.
- Working towards a diversified congregation more reflective of our community at large.
- Newpaper articles about our church family and interesting topics that encourage interest in our church
- Radio Time
- Annual Event for Women and Annual Event for Men- Example Prayer Breakfast for Men, Prayer Luncheon for Women or Valentine’s Day Tea and Prayer
- Artistic advertisements for special Holiday services
- Creating moments throughout the year to share our personal stories of faith during church services.
- Plan and consider future evangelism activities – such as Bible classes in the community, parenting classes for parents of teenagers, and sharing Lenten activities with other churches, etc.
