The Reverend Dr. Michael Prewitt, DMin He is an ordained Presbyterian minister. He served as a new church planter in Montgomery Township, New Jersey, and as an interim pastor at Noroton Presbyterian Church. He served as a board member at Stony Point Center, the Presbyterian conference center in Stony Point, NY, for seven years.
Michael has been described as an entrepreneur. Before being called as organizing pastor of a new church, Michael founded a magazine in Ethiopia while serving in the Peace Corps. He started a community newspaper in Key West, Florida. For 25 years he was the founding partner (also writer and graphic designer) of a marketing communications firm, Dana Communications, with offices in Hopewell, New Jersey and New York City. Michael is a graduate of DePauw University. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree with an evangelism and mission specialization from Columbia Theological Seminary. He is married to Maureen, a researcher in women’s health at the University of Pennsylvania. He and Maureen are the proud parents of Joe, Catherine and Christopher. Michael finds the time to grow vegetables, ride his bicycle and play golf.
