Our Mission Statement
Within the Presbyterian tradition, Calvin Church is a congregation of
believers in Jesus Christ, who believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of
God, directing our actions and attitudes. We seek always to be an obedient,
loving, supporting, and giving church with deep concern for our members, our community, and the world.
As members of Calvin Presbyterian Church, together we seek to:
WORSHIP
1. Experience the joy of shared
worship and praise of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit through the sacraments,
prayer, music, and proclamation of the Word.
FELLOWSHIP
2. Show God's love to all members of this church by caring for one another
and offering opportunities for all to minister, as well as enabling and training
every person to glorify and serve God in their own unique way. In this way we
become God’s family.
DISCIPLESHIP
3. Provide opportunities for and encourage the development of spiritual
growth and knowledge for persons of all ages to increase their own faith in God
through Jesus Christ as taught through the Bible, with a strong emphasis on
Christian education.
MINISTRY
4. Have a redemptive impact on the community and demonstrate God's love as
witnesses to Jesus Christ through all of our publications and activities. Also,
to be used for His purpose reaching out to local and overseas missions.
EVANGELISM
5. Be a positive witness in our community, and in the world, through our
words and deeds by demonstrating the teachings and life of Christ in our daily
lives and reflecting the joy that comes through a personal relationship with
Him.
